A downloadable tool for Windows

Overview

This is a simple dice rolling app for Windows that's designed to be customizable and able to be easily captured in OBS. You can choose between a D6 or a D20 and there's various colors for each die to choose from.

You also have the option to make your own skin. Just drop png files into the Data/Skins folder. The Common folder is for skins that can be used for all dice types while the individual D6 and D20 folders are for skins meant for that specific dice shape. Currently only png files are supported.

As an example of the kinds of skins you can make, I've made skins based on Fauna's 2024 birthday merch dice. In fact, the creation of this project was largely inspired by Fauna's Dungeon streams. The intended use case for this dice roller app is to take the place of the number wheel that Fauna uses.

Capture for Streaming

To capture it with transparency in OBS, add a new "game capture" and make sure to check "Allow Transparency". With this, when you turn on transparency in the dice app, the capture in OBS will also be transparent. You can also uncheck "Capture Cursor" to make sure the cursor doesn't appear on stream.

To make the control window not show in your capture, simple hold alt while dragging the red border of the capture to crop it out. This will let you only show the dice rolls and not the control.
